The
PAC is always looking to expand its regional structure and encourage pikers to
join the club. If there is no Regional Association (RA) in your immediate vicinity
perhaps you would like to give some thought to starting one. There may already
be PAC members in the area, and almost certainly other pikers who may be encouraged
to join the PAC if there were regional meetings they could attend locally.
RAs
vary in size from a few anglers who meet once a month in a pub for a chat, to
large regions of as many as fifty. Setting up an RA is easy and we will give you
all the assistance we can. New Regional Organisers (ROs) will receive an introductory
pack of useful information to assist in getting the region off the ground, and
promotional material to advertise the region's activities in local tackle shops
etc.
If you would like to set up a PAC
Regional Association please contact the Secretary at secretary@pacgb.co.uk
with your name, address and PAC membership number to receive your prospective
RO's pack.
All we ask is that new ROs
sign a brief protocol form. Don't be put
off by this, newly formed regions are unlikely to be large enough to require bank
accounts, committees and such like! But as your region grows the importance of
the protocol will become evident.
Once you
have your region up and running it is a good idea to get a web presence to publicise
your events and keep the regional members informed. You can learn how to start
here.
