JUNIOR INTRODUCTION INTO PIKE FISHING DAY
BURTON CONSTABLE
CARAVAN PARK LAKES NEAR HULL
SUNDAY
NOVEMBER 14TH 2004
The Pike Anglers Club of Great Britain has organised an
introduction to pike fishing day, for all children age 16 or under, who are keen
to know more about this type of fishing. They will be given guidance by an experienced
pike angler who will stay with them. Children can bring along their fishing tackle
and advice will be given on any improvements needed to allow them to fish safely
for the species. A limited amount of tackle can also be provided on the day for
those who may not have suitable rods etc.
There
will be no charge for the fishing but the PAC has decided to make this a charity
event and all participants will be asked to try and raise £20 in sponsorship.
All monies raised will be handed over to the charities concerned (to be
announced) at the end of the day. The Environment Agency is assisting the PAC
with this event and will also be present on the day. They are assisting with sponsorship
as are several other companies and further details will be announced later.
To
ensure the safety of all participants, the following conditions for applications
will apply:
All children must have one
parent (or guardian) with them at all times (they don’t have to know anything
about fishing, as guidance will be given).A
maximum of 2 rods only per angler. No lure fishing,
but a lure demonstration will be given on the day.The
first 40 children who apply will be given preference (you don’t have to be a PAC
member).Anyone who is interested in obtaining
further details and an application form is asked to contact the following:
