The Irish Pike Society was founded from the need to fight pike persecution on the island of Ireland. "The Irish Pike Society will undertake to protect, conserve and promote Pike and Pike Angling on the island of Ireland and strive to create an environment where Pike are valued as a sporting fish and as a critical element in the management and ecology of Ireland's freshwater resources." IPS membership is open to pike anglers the world over. | |
